Pucajirca c.6010m

Pucajirca Oeste c.6005m

Pucajirca Central c.5990m

Pucajirca is a complex mountain peak with many summits in the north of the Cordillera Blanca, a very difficult and rarely climbed peak with several summits, three of which may (or may not!) be over 6000m. Surveys for this area are both vague and outdated and there is a pretty good chance that all the summits are under 6000m.

Pucajirca summits from the summit of Alpamayo to the southwest. From right to left the northern,  central and western peaks can all be seen.

We can organise guided ascents to the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca.

We organise guided ascents of this peak every year. For details of how to climb Pucajirca and the neighbouring peaks of the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca, please see our guidebooks, which are available in English, Spanish, Polish and French editions, direct from us or from all good bookshops and mountaineering shops.
