Huascaran Norte 6655m
The smaller of the two Huascaran peaks and the second highest summit in Peru. It certainly qualifies as an independent summit with over 600m of re-asscent (or prominence) from the col, known as La Garganta, which separates it from the higher Huascaran Sur. Normally climbed from Huaraz via the wee village of Musho.
