Chinchey 6222m

Chinchey is a rarely climbed peak in the southern Cordillera Blanca. While often given a height of 6309m, the recent SRTM data and other photographic surveys appear to make the other quoted height of 6222m more likely.

We organise guided ascents of this peak every year. For details of how to climb Chinchey and the neighbouring peaks of the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca, please see our guidebooks, which are available in English, Spanish, Polish and French editions, direct from us or from all good bookshops and mountaineering shops.
