Acay 5770m
Acay is an extinct volcano in northern Argentina. It is an easy ascent technically but is not often climbed.
Nevado Acay from the south in winter.
Acay summit, thanks to Guillaume Ceyrac in France for the photo. Note the commonly quoted height of 5950m, probably wrong.
We can organise guided ascents of this peak. Please telephone or email us for more details. For details of how to climb Acay and neighbouring peaks in the area please see our guidebooks, which are available in English, Spanish, Polish and French editions, direct from us or from all good bookshops and mountaineering shops.
